Recorder class for 9-11 year-olds

Fife Music School is offering a free taster recorder class for 9-11 year-olds at our open morning on Saturday 26th October. If your child is aged between 9 and 11 why not come and join us for a fun introduction to the recorder? Instruments are provided, all you need to do is sign-up using the button below!

We will be rolling out group instrumental lessons on woodwind and brass instruments in Kirkcaldy throughout 2020 alongside our range of general music classes. We will be using Nuvo Instruments for our group classes, which provide a fun, accessible and affordable way to learn a wind instrument.

The brand new Recorder+ will be the first of these, followed by the DooD (a great starter for reed instruments such as clarinet or saxophone) and the TooT (brilliant for developing the skills needed to move onto a flute). Guided by our expert tutors, children taking part in our recorder classes will learn the basics of playing though fun tunes and games. We will explore musical creativity through tunes and games, helping them to develop their sense of pitch, rhythm and beat.
